Managing Director
For more than a decade, Ramsey has been working with small
business owners and managers and advising them on various financial
options.
Prior to founding Spinnaker Group Capital Advisors, he was a
Vice President at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance LLC, a middle market
investment banking boutique, in their M&A and Capital Markets group.
While at EYCF, he helped form and lead the Financial Sponsors Group and
focused primarily on financial sponsor-driven capital transactions. He also
managed a wide range of transactions including those involving growth
capital, private equity, debt financing, mergers, acquisitions,
divestitures and bankruptcy issues. Prior to joining EYCF, he worked at
Banque Paribas in their North America Mergers and Acquisitions group and at
Chase Manhattan in similar advisory roles.
Ramsey received his Master of Business Administration from
the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University
where he triple-majored in Finance, Management and International Business.
During his MBA, he also studied at Institut Superieur des Affaires at
L'Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Jouy-en-Josas, France.
He also holds his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Lawrence
University.
Ramsey has his NASD Series 7 and Series 63 Securities
licenses and is an active member and on the board of the Association for
Corporate Growth. He is also
active with Stepping Stones Museum
for Children in Norwalk.
Ramsey also comes from an extremely entrepreneurial family -
a family that has started and run more than 15 successful small businesses.
